Council is being asked to give first reading to Bylaw No. 4724, which amends Zoning Bylaw No. 3705 in Electoral Area D (Upland) – Cowichan Bay.
The amendment deletes the CR1 zone entirely, rezonnes all CR1 lands to RR2, and rezonnes two specific parcels from CR2 to R3. Density and subdivision regulations in the affected area are also being updated. The matter is on the May 27, 2026, agenda.
The agenda item does not identify the two CR2 parcels being rezoned to R3, nor does it provide any associated development proposal.
A rezoning application for an undisclosed address in the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD), BC, was submitted by an applicant. The application is scheduled for a public meeting on May 27, 2026. No outcome has been announced.
