Council recommended approval of a liquor primary licence application by Swing City Golf at 109-364 8th Street, Courtenay, on May 13. The motion carried with Council noting the licence would have minimal noise and community impact.

Swing City Golf operates an indoor golf simulator lounge in downtown Courtenay with four Trackman IO bays and a food-and-beverage offering (swingcitygolf.ca).
